Introduction

The company we chose to report on is McDonald's. This franchise is located in Piscataway, New Jersey placed inside a walmart. With McDonald's being the number 1 hamburger fast food restaurant chain there are a number of operations inside the company that need to be flawless for the company to remain successful. McDonald's generates its revenues primarily from franchise royalties and corporate operated restaurants. Because they are a franchise, the chain uniforms its processes with the entire company. So no mater which restaurant you step in the customer will receive the same experience. We plan to analyze McDonald's supplier-relationship, inventory, and production management systems to see how there everyday products get from the supplier to consumer. We plan to interview the owner of this particular franchise in March to get more details about the internal operations of the company.
